National PTA Reflections
For over 50 years, the National PTA has honored its commitment to arts education through the Reflections program, which provides opportunities for recognition and access to the arts - boosting student confidence and success in arts and life.
The theme for this year is Accepting Imperfection, and entries are due Friday, November 1.
This theme serves as a powerful reminder that our flaws and mistakes are just as much a part of us as our strengths and are a natural and beautiful part of being human. Embracing flaws, rather than rejecting them, is a deeply personal journey.
Explore the theme through these categories: dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, visual arts or special artists.
How to enter: All submissions must be completed through the Murdock PTA Reflections program.
- Review the submission rules for each category.
- Email your artwork to Murdock PTA Reflections.
- Complete the entry form by Friday, November 1. No paper entries will be accepted.
Awards and Exhibits:
All participants will be awarded a Certificate of Recognition from Murdock PTA. Students placing first and second in each category at our local school level will move to the East Cobb Council level. Winning entries at the East Cobb Council level can then move on to state and then national.
Student entries submitted to the national level go through two rounds of review by esteemed arts professionals across the country. Over 200 students are recognized for their achievements in the arts and their works are exhibited throughout the year. Top national-level winners are provided prizes and scholarships and their works are showcased and exhibited.
