Exceptional Children's Committee

Through leadership and enrichment, the PTA helps to support our amazing Special Education (SPED) faculty and staff who work with students with the greatest needs.

The goal of PTA's Exceptional Children's Committee is to:

  • Support and celebrate exceptional students at Murdock Elementary.
  • Educate students and increase awareness about different types of disabilities.
  • Encourage and promote inclusion of differently-abled individuals.
  • Support special educators and staff members who provide services to these amazing children.

Who are our SPED educators?

  • special needs pre-K
  • English to speakers of other languages (ESOL)
  • small group instructors
  • counselors
  • speech and occupational therapists
  • grade-level SPED teachers in co-taught classrooms
